Street Collections

Henleaze Tuesday March 25th 10am-2pm - Well, it was freezing cold and like a ghost town but we raised £92.74 and met some lovely people so huge thanks to the generous folks of Henleaze - sorry if our balloons ended up in your garden but it was a bit windy!

Staple Hill  Saturday April 26th 10am - 2pm - The sun shone for the first time in ages, lots of people were out and about and we collected an incredible £198.40. We also swapped a lot of cat (and dog!) stories with fellow animal lovers - thank you Staple Hill!

Bedminster East St  Thursday May 29th 10am-2pm - A shorter collection today as we had to dash off to organise our 'do' at BAWA , but in 3 hours we still managed a creditable £83.12 - not bad at all. Plus we have hopefully found a lady who will foster for us so well worth doing for that alone.

Westbury-On-Trym Friday June 27th 10am-2pm - Another miserable day weather wise but what a lot of nice people! We had a few enquiries about re-homing dogs so were able to point people in the direction of Many Tears our sister rescue in Wales so hopefully some lucky dogs will find lovely new homes and we collected £161.50  - brilliant.

Kingswood High Street Saturday July 26th 10am - 2pm - A gloriously sunny day and we took our dogs along to raise awareness of our sister rescue Many Tears who rehabilitate and rehome puppy farm dogs. Archie, Ruby, Paige and Buffy worked very hard giving cuddles and having their bellies rubbed (it's a hard life - they even had sausages donated for their lunch!) and we collected a wonderful £186.29.

The Galleries  Saturday August 2nd and Sunday August 3rd all day - We had to compete with the Harbour Festival and the sunshine but still collected a creditable £188.48.

Gloucester Rd (Zetland Rd end) Saturday August 23rd 10am-2pm - A very short collection due to holidays and illness; Buffy the Staffie was a star greeting everyone and singing! Paige aka 'Fluffy rug' just lay on her back and accepted cuddles for two hours - £62.56 raised.

Morrisons Cribbs Causeway   Monday October 20th and Tuesday October 21st all day-Wow - amazing couple of days, everyone was so generous and we raised £446.69 plus some food too. We will definitely be back!

Staple Hill Methodist Church Christmas Fayre Saturday November 22nd - we will have a stand with goodies to sell and cats to home - please come and say hello!

We raised £62.00 selling cuddly toys at £1 a go - not bad!

Tesco Thornbury Saturday November 29th and Sunday November 30th all day

It was a bitterly cold weekend but there were lots of warm hearts in Thornbury - £548.37 was donated plus at least £50 worth of food plus we found homes for 3 kittens - what can we say, they did us proud THANK YOU!!

Christmas collection at Tesco Bradley Stoke  Saturday December 20th and Sunday December 21st all day

Archie Phillips, aka Santa Paws - star fundraiser!!

No-one could resist that sad face and those cute bootees and along with Ruby and Paige, Archie raised a staggering £1002.13!! Plus enough food to keep us going for weeks.

What a wonderful way to end the year -  thanks to Scott the manager and his great staff for all their help and all our brilliant volunteers who braved a cold and windy weekend: Lesley, Pete, Anne, Suzanne, Dan, Alison, Margaret, Louisa, Jenny, Danni, Terry and Santa's little helper 8 year old Molly.

But most of all a HUGE thankyou to all the generous, kindhearted shoppers at Bradley Stoke - their Christmas spirit was truly amazing.
